G.I. Joe 2: Retaliation Trailer: 90% Dwayne Johnson, 5% Bruce Willis, 2% Channing Tatum, 100% Better Than the First

The first trailer has finally arrived for Paramount's G.I. Joe 2: Retaliation, and while the movie is a sequel to 2009's G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, it could just as well be a reboot since the trailer makes it clear that Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is taking over the franchise.

The opening moments of the trailer shows why most of the Rise of Cobra cast weren't brought back for Retaliation, and, after that, focuses on the attack exacted on G.I. Joe by the President of the United States (Jonathan Pryce), who, for those who remember the end of The Rise of Cobra, is actually Zartan (Arnold Vosloo). This leaves the new collection of Joes — Roadblock (Johnson), Flint (D.J. Cotrona), Lady Jaye (Adrianne Palicki), Snake Eyes (Ray Park), and Bruce Willis as General Joe Colton — to, um, retaliate. Johnson is clearly the Joe-in-charge, and Willis has a more memorable appearance in the trailer than the returning Channing Tatum, whose Rise of Cobra character of Duke disappears after the trailer's early moments.
